Wonderful Cottages

Alamogordo, NM(Zone 7b)

I just have to share some wonderful photos I found on flickr of cottages. Wonderful stucco homes with fairy tale roofs. Nice plantings too!

Those are so, so pretty. It really does look like a fairytale.

And she is a wonderful photographer too!

Those are just wonderful! They would look good framed and hanging on a wall in my house....hmm, I don't see where they are for sale. :)

Go back to that link, click on her profile at the top of the main page, on the profile page about halfway down she had a link to where you can buy her photos. I would have put the link here, but don't know if that is allowed since it is selling?

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

CP,

Could you post it for me (there, you aren't selling , I'm asking) I looked and looked and clicked on everything clickable but nothing came up that looked like it was for sale.

You can talk about things for sale, just if you're Linda and selling your pictures, well, you can imagine how awful that would be multiplied by zillions of sellers on DG..

Suzy, this is it

but it doesn't look like she has the cottages for sale. I will see if I can message her through my flickr mail and ask if she is going to add them to her for sale photos.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Oh, okay, I did see that then. LOL! I thought I was going crazy....tell her somebody in Indianapolis has a blank wall she needs cottage front doors on...a dozen if I can afford both the photos and the frames.

Thanks, Joyce.
Funny, I glanced at the first pic you posted and thought "Carmel".
I've spent many many months over the years in that town. My cousin lived there and just a 2 hour drive from my home in the Bay Area. I look at the pics and can hear the Gregorian chanting coming through the fog from the monastery to the south. My favorite area of the world. A great place to stay is Colonial Terrace near the beach.

Its in the neighborhoods so you can stroll through the little streets and view the cottages and walk to the beach. Just about 20 minutes from town. Kim Novak used to live out on the point.

Thanks Aguane I definitely and to go now! I contacted her and the cottages are uploaded so you can buy prints llloquin!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

fingers crossed i can afford them --- trotting off now

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

They aren't expensive at all -- er, until you get the prices on them framed.

I wrote down the ones I really want (6 total, hung on the wall 3 over 3)and the sizes, but I have to go to Michael's to see what size premade frames they have. Or maybe World Market or Hobby Lobby, something like that.

Thank you for doing that for me!

No problem, I may buy some myself. And I have had 2 members here ask to buy my photos so I may just put some there too.

Ah, I am so smart -- I found it all by myself!

CactusPatch's photos on Flickr...check out the picture of Rose 'Marmalade Skies' -- my favorite color in the world!

All of the pictues are beautiful. I do really like Rose "Marmalade Skies"

That was a great link! I thought it neat one pic incorporated perfectly trimmed boxwoods in a cottage garden!

Alamogordo, NM(Zone 7b)

I love the way that Marmalade Skies blooms so much for me. You will not find trimmed boxwoods in my yard though! BTW llloquin, you can always click on a member name and see if they have the link to their photos on the member page. I put mine there and a few others have too.

Yes I should think boxwoods would look quite out of place in NM. :)

Metro DC, MD(Zone 7a)

Oh My! What a Delicious bunch of photos!!!

Alamogordo, NM(Zone 7b)

Some do like the trimmed boxwoods. But I don't like the formal look and don't want to spend my time keeping them trimmed. I had some once that were there when we bought the home. Because they grow real quickly here, they are a nightmare to keep up.
