This factual evidence implies (to me) that these kinds of relationships don't have to take "millions of years" to establish. If they can break down so quickly, perhaps they can establish as quickly. Makes me wonder what else that scientists assume takes "millions of years" actually can happen relatively quickly.
Just my thoughts.
