WalMart in Lancaster

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

The WalMart in Lancaster produces enormous amounts of trash as do most WM's. The problem with this WM is that 10 Mile Creek runs just south across Beltline and there are white plastic WM bags lining a wooded area that runs beside the creek. I don't live in Lancaster, but my parents and sister(with her family) do and I drive right by there just about every day. Is there anything that I, as a nonresident, can do to get a petition going to have WM clean up this mess? The WM in Waxahachie is not near this bad, so I have no worries there. I like shopping at WM and just want them to do the right thing.

You could try talking to the manager, that might help.

Not that WalMart - My wife used to work there and sad to say they could care less... you need to get your sister and the people around her to go to city hall, the best thing you can do is go to city hall and start here. WalMart will just say the bags are given to people when they buy things and they cannot clean them up they are other peoples mess. IF they city gets involved... and with a creek there add they are destroying wetland areas - big key words there - and things will happen. If the city will not do anything call out channel 4 and 5 and have your own press there to show the area... sad to say but the stores will not care unless the city makes them care.

(can you tell I have been down this type of thing before?)
