What do you all think about a Spring plant party in or near Waxahachie TX? Nothing like the fall - plants can be traded if we want but not needed, seeds too. Mostly just a laid back food, fun, gardens, and the like. We might even get TJ to have the afterglow at his place... cross your fingers there!

Sounds great - what about makeing your place "base" and taking a trip into town from there, and then back for the after glow?? Too much for you to handle?

I am in if at all possible. I have to make a trip to WA sometime in April, so please see if we can nail down a date soon. I want make my other plans and not miss it.
We have already been there once for a small gathering... but we will see. TJ I think only get on Daves during the week so we might have so time to wait to see - if not the big park there in Waxahachie is wonderful - really wonderful and very old. A great place to visit.
Could/would you avoid April 24-26? (That's a Thursday through Saturday) That is our Texas Master Gardener State Conference, and I would hate for anyone to have to choose. Purdy please...

I'm thinking 10:00 small plant swap at Getzendaner Park, 12:00 pot luck lunch, 1:30ish take small bus for a tour of Waxahachie Nurseries and public and private gardens, 6:00ish go back to the park and get vehicles anyone who wants to come to mi casa is welcome for a brisket and drinks and relaxing.

TJ sounds wonderful and the 19th is great for me to - Waxahachie is a wonderful place, be ready to see Spring.

wow how did I miss this thread... lol......I will check the schedule at the restaurant and see if it is open and talk to Jason about getting it off so I can come.
Hopefully by then they will have hired new wait staff since the girls are no longer there *sigh* so the chef and I and one therapist are playing wait staff

I would enjoy it too all I do now is work work sleep work work try to get in some plant stuff maybe see my daughter when she is off if not busy work work and post in DG LMAO
