LOL, yeah it is pretty hardy, I run it over with the lawn mower and it smells wonderful, dont seem to hurt it either, it just pops right back up like nothing happened!!

Lemon Verbena is usually available at my local garden centers when the threat of freeze/frost is past; until then, here are some mail order sources that may be willing to ship during the cold months: http://davesgarden.com/products/ps/search.php?search_text=lemon+verbena&submit=Search

I 'found' my long lost best friend cousin about 3 months ago, Thats where he lives. We havent seen each other in about 20 years, I am planning to head there when the weather warms a bit to visit. It so exciting!!!! We have been talking on the phone and its like we just picked up where we left off!!

Melvatoo ~ I may recommend the L. verbena receive winter protection in your zone.

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

The one that I had before was in a protected spot where it survived the winter for several years until one year...so the new one will be protected, never fear!

Previous years I put mine in a plant shelter. It would stay cool enough the L verbena would shed its' leaves. This year, I trimmed it back (it's potted) and moved it to an enclosed porch. The temps have been no lower than 50 and it still has leaves. I love this plant. Good luck with your new one.
