Are all of our Vancouver folks okay? This must have caused some garden and home damage!

Oops, I missed this thread.
I've sent dmails to a couple of other folks just in case, but from everything I'm hearing at least so far, no people were hurt. Some roofs, etc.

Whew!!

I was within 1 1/2 miles of it's path and it just blew my swing over. I had long since tied the bigger plants off so they would not be whipped by the wind in the winter. It did rain sideways for a minute, but my cable went out for 24 hours so I didn't know what had happened until my daughter called. I think if you just watched and listened to the new reports you would have thought Hazel Dell had been blown off the map.

Glad you were okay!

Yeah, the news was dramatic. As I understand it (and I don't, really), a tornado is very specific in the damage it causes - it can nail one house pretty good and leave the one next door standing.

I keep thinking about the guy who said that it blew one of his dogs from inside the chain link fence to the outside of the fence without harming him. That's dramatic.

So glad that you didn't get caught in it, Vicki.
