Wanted Pink MoonVine Seeds or Tubers Ipomoea macrorhiza

Brooksville, FL(Zone 9a)

I'm looking for anyone who has seeds or tubers to trade (or sell?) of the Pink MoonVine, Ipomoea macrorhiza:

My trade list is not up to date, but if you have some of these to trade, dmail me with what you're looking for. I can trade just about anything that's on my store, including Japanese MG seeds.

Thanks,
Onalee

onalee....I've waited to see if anyone has any to offer you, but apparently no one has any. I have a whopping 6 seeds that came to me labeled Pink Moonvine (in with a bunch of other seeds). I've done nothing with them and have had them for 2 years, but am mailing them on to you. Nothing to lose...try them with h2o2 or whatever...
Sherry
edited to add that I also found 6 Purple Moonvine seeds...sending them along in case you might want to try them also.

Thanks Sherry - I'll give them a try! These must be hard to get or no one is growing them anymore? Not sure why.

I'll let you know if I have any luck!

thanks again,

onalee, they take three years to bloom from seeds, this is the first year I get flowers and there were only two flowers/thus only two seedpods... a total of 6 seeds. If you do get some, I can ID the seeds for you. I also have 3 tubers and this will be the fourth year with them. Let me know if you want at least a couple of my seeds. I really want to keep some for Identification purposes in the ipomoea species. Let me think about it before I commit to trade a tuber..lol.. I brought them with me when we moved from CA and they are cold hardy here from I can tell.

Here they are in bloom 9/2007, sowed in 2004

TTYL.

edited to add: Just noticed that there are photos of the seeds on the plantsdatabase for IDentification.

Hi Gourd,
thank you for the info and the offer; I did get a few seeds from wcgypsy, so let me see if I can get them to germinate; if they are like most morning glories, being 2 years old shouldn't be a problem.

thanks again!

I have some macrorhiza growing too, but it is just their first year. They are only about 3 inches tall. Don't expect too much the first year!

Hi,
Sorry for the delay getting back here - If anyone has any of these, yes, I would like to get some more. I got a few from wcgypsy, but they are 2 years old, so I don't know if they will germinate or not. If anyone has any a bit newer, I would still like to get them.

thanks,
Onalee
