My pubicalyx 'Splash' is growing vines like crazy. No leaves are growing on them. Just little roots. I purchased this plant in April and it's just growing vines. Should I cut down the stems or just leave them alone. The plant looks kind of messy. It reminds me of the grape vine wreaths that craft stores sell.

Don't cut it!!!!! It'll soon begin to make new leaves on those bald vines.

I have some hoyas that will at times throw out 3-4 ft of bald vine before ever making a leaf. H. latifolia IML 88 is one that does this. You'll get from it several ft of bare vine and then it'll make these huge leaves the size of dinner plates!!!!
Same with my obovata! Lots of long strings then -boom! All those big round leaves
