Missing person from this forum?

Eureka, CA

Okay, so I know we don't need to know everything about everybody, and we all deserve a bit of privacy, but has anyone heard anything from Poochella? The holidays have taken their toll on many of us and our abilities to post, but I haven't seen her here for awhile, nor on the dahlia forum. Is she okay? Did I miss an earlier post of her planned absence? Just start to worry when I don't see some of the regulars, and she's a special one. Sent a D-mail with so far no response. Just hoping she's okay. Anyone know?

I think she responded a couple of weeks ago with something. Hmmmmm. I'll check. Have you done a search on posts by her (feature of the site)? She may have posted something somewhere else - like Dahlias.

I think I have her phone number - maybe even an e-mail address. I can double-check tonight if I remember.

I have seen her name on some other sites. I don't know the dates tho. Sometimes I find older threads that I do through and read, so I'm not sure if where I saw her name was a recent post or an older one.

Yeah, I poked around the Dahlia forum, and the last thread she started was Dec 11. Maybe just busy with holiday stuff. Hoping she's okay.

I looked and don't have an e-mail address for her, so I called and left her a message to "check in". Will let you know if/once I hear from her!!

I think it's good to keep tabs on one another. I, for one, am single and don't know what I'd do if there weren't people checking upon me once in while.

Its kinda like last summer when Pixs disappeared on a trip, we were all missing her, then she popped back up, and then again she could be out of town or lost her Internet service? Just guessing

Hope that's what it is, Tills. At least she has a DH, so there's somebody else looking out for her.

Haven't heard back from her yet . . .

I got a D-mail! She's okay! Just taking a break from "stuff"..... Glad to know she's okay, and I hope I didn't worry folks too unnecessarily. Thanks for all the support....

Sorry to worry you! I am indeed fine, just in a non- garden, non-computer mode for winter. I am hibernating! Katie I got your voicemail and promptly forgot about it as it arrived in the midst of a hectic work weekend when phone calls are all the frenzy. So sorry.

I just OD'd on digging in the late Fall months which lead directly into the holiday craze, so now I'm treating myself to a few weeks off. I check DG at intervals, but my energies are elsewhere these days. I did get to turn and sniff my compost today, not nearly as nice as in April when it's heating up in its glory, when I will undoubtedly gear up for gardening again with the promise of all things sprouting.

Sorry to worry you kind folks, and thanks for checking on me.

Pooch - I figured you were enjoying some well-deserved time off; you really know how to burn the candle but with an excellent outcome.
Hope you are well-rested & having a peaceful, relaxing Winter.
Take care! K

Hey Pooch
Glad to hear you are okay
Gotta take a time out sometime and winter can make you feel that way. Been watching it snow here, got off the ferry and snowing on my side. What a long drive home. 25 all the way. and its still snowing going to be fun when I got to go to work
tomorrow.
