Future trade?

Lindenhurst, NY

HI, I"m itching to get some new plants but on a major budget this year ;-(

I have doubles (some triples) of the following plants I can trade when the weather warms up:

Shimmer Frost (standard, see Beth's pic)
Ness' Fantasy Gold (big plant)
Optimara mini Little Crystal (full size plant)
Ness' Crinkle blue
Rebel's Raspberry (mini)
Optimara Maine (standard)
Rebel's Splatterkate

I'm looking for different type gess', like Chirita, Codonanthe or Sinningia.
I already grow av's, streps, and epis and want to try different plants.

Thanks
Maureen

Maureen,

I'm in the same position you are, so only have AVs and two streps. I do have different AVs from yours, so if you decide you want to trade those, let me know.

HI Sharon. If no one has any of the plants I'm looking for I would be happy to trade for av's. - the only problem is that I have very little room so can't take any standards, would have to be semi-minis/mini's.

I feel terrible as I took apart 10 chiritas today and didn't realize that I had 5 people I was sending to. They are already in their zip locks, but by this spring I will have plenty of chiritas and many things to trade if you remind me. Sorry, Sharon, but I missed by one person on those chiritas...and didn't know Maureen wants new plants.

Please notify me in about 6 weeks and i will be raring to go.

Thanks so much Gail. You always are so generous sharing with all of us.

If I weren't so busy I would just send you all some plants as all I do is propagate! But tomorrow is the 4th and I can't put off paying bills any longer (LOL). I won't forget though.
Brenda sent me a leaf of Splatter Kake and i can't wait as she is one of my favorites. You have some good avs.

Sharon, don't give up on me!

Maureen, I'm a "strep kinda girl" and will have babies coming out my ears this spring but I didn't see Streps on your list of wants (probably take up too much room?) and it's too cold right now to send my babies out the door quite yet.
I didn't want you to think I'm ignoring you as I know ALL ABOUT tight budgets friend :)

If you think you have room for some strep babies this spring....you just let me know :)

Gail,

No problem. Maybe I can come up with some AVs you dont have later on.

Oh, most of my trade plants for spring will be from episcia stolons, and it sounds like you've got all the epis you want! I do have a basket of streptocarpella 'Concord Blue' that roots easily from cuttings, and I might have a few other things to interest you... I'll have to check around and see what I can come up with. 'Optimara Little Crystal' is definitely on my must-have list! Maybe I can beg for leaves this spring if we can't work out a trade... :-)

edited to add that I do have a Columnea schiedeana to take cuttings from also, plus extra stolons on my Alsobia 'Cygnet' if either of those are of interest.

Maureen, you are a gem! I'm going to put an entry in my trade tracker so I don't lose track, and I'm sure I'll come up with something to send you in return. Maybe we can do some leaf swapping while we're at it. Thank you! :-)
