congrats! it's beautiful! i read the smell of this plant is unbearable. is that true? and how long did it take to bloom?

It does smell good but what it smells like I can't be sure.... I have had this plant now maybe the end of Sept... I also have another one blooming but can't get a good picture.... Also have allot of seeds growing.... I could not believe that they grew....

wow! you have seeds growing! i've wanted to try, but read that it can be very difficult to get them to germinate and i'm so impatient! what variety do you have growing from seed and how'd you do it?

Danville, VA(Zone 7a)

Well I put the in solo cups with holes in the bottom, then I put them inside a dome and on a heat mat and they pop up at diffrent times... I have taken some pictures for you as the ones in the pots were all planted at the same time just they came up at diffrent times...
I have growing
Lady Margret
Incarnata
quadrangularis
P.Edulis alata
Mollissima
and some from Africa that a friend sent to me... No name..
I will resize the pictures and BRB.

Here are the bigger ones out of the seeds so far....
Next will be with the dome off and then with the dome on.

sounds like you have quite the set up! you make it look so easy, especially since everyone on this site talks about how long they can take to come up. thanks for all the pics. i think you've given me the confidence to try. where did you get that dome from?i've also read contradicting statements about seeds: some say they need to be fresh and others said they waited a year with older seeds. thanks again. keep us posted!

I got the dome off of ebay... but some people just use a cake pan or those tin one you get to bake in and they have a plastic cover.... I also was told hard to grow but hey I needed something at the time to keep me busy in the winter and these were it....

you are so right! i've been on the computer more lately because i can't be in the garden and it's killing me looking at all these gorgeous plants! my imagination is going crazy...i'm wanting to create an entire section of nothing but passifloras. all i have right now is an arbor that's been taken over, but i'm trying to devise a plan that supports more. it's covered with a tarp tonight...i'm praying it makes it! how do grow yours during the summer?

Danville, VA(Zone 7a)

well I have a purple one and I can't think of the name at the moment but it grows like crazy all over the arbor.... I love it... This year I am going to put my flowers in pots so I can take them in for winter... I had and orange one and I dug it up and I believe it died but I took cuttings and they took well so all is not lost....
Hugs,
Susan
