Hib question

Rio Rico, AZ(Zone 8a)

Hello all hib lovers! Happy New Year!

I have a question about a beautiful red hybrid I have that has a second, smaller bloom toward the end of the stamen. It is very graceful looking and I just love it. I have looked and looked throughout DG and HVH, and I can find no pics with this second little bloom. Is this something that is not good? Why would no one want to cultivate this little beauty? Any help out there?

Maybe El Capitolio?

If that isn't it, can you post a picture?

Liz, I should have known that you would come to the rescue once again!:-) I was going to post a picture, but my one bloom dropped this morning, so as soon as it blooms again, I will get a pic. The El Capitolio is the only one that looks even close! Thanks!

I finally got a picture! These are actually much darker red than they show. I had to move them under the awning to get the picture (too windy where they were). Here they show more orange/red, but they are actually a truer red.

It's El Capitalio. If I were at my computer at home I'd send you a pic of mine.

Pretty blooms, Shari. By the way, nice article you wrote on Hibiscus, too. I enjoyed it.
