Hi everyone I am new to this forum and have never traded seeds or even entered this forum.
The reason that I am here is that I am looking for above mentioned seeds for a new flowerbed that is a blue themed bed and the plans call for this plant as one of the bunch.
I have looked at several online seeds sites and can find them nowhere .......... does anyone know of these, or will they become more readily available as we move towards spring?
Any help/input greatly appreciated.

Salvia Guaranitica (spelling) "Black and Blue" ?
California Flora Nursery has them. You might try a google search and find other places.
thanks for the info ........ had done a couple of google searches ....... I must not have looked far enough.

maybe I should have been more specific .......... I am trying to locate seeds for this plant.
Mine don't seem to get seeds. Maybe I just don't know where to look but I haven't found any.
This outfit seems to have the seeds:

Some of these companies will have them for sale this spring, seeds and/or plants:

That is a great plant, I wish I had some too! Maybe someone will post some to trade here.

thanks Clay,
yes it looks like it will be a very fascinating plant. I downloaded the plans for a blue themed garden, and it has several fascinating plant types suggested.
thanks again,

Its a beautiful plant, and I love it, but be forewarned---one (and I do mean ONE) is plenty. In your zone, one plant will be enough to fill the entire bed in, oh, say, five minutes!!! Well, of course, not really, but this plant is so hardy and beautiful, but within one growing season it will be spreading (and spreading..and spreading). You've been warned! Plan lots of space for it, sit back, and enjoy.
By the way, I've got several large clumps I just dug up yesterday. Happy to send you one for postage or trade, just let me know.
Warning on the black and blue. They don't like a lot of water. Don't plant it next to a water hog or one of them will end up in bad shape.
wow ........ thanks Yote and Core ............. both good and bad news :o) .......... in that I can handle it spreading rapidly , but I can hardly stand to allow things to be dry ......... I usually have to have plants that are tolerant over my sometimes being too generous with the water !!!!!!!!!!

I agree on the water thing--mine is in a raised bed and I watered it last year as I had just planted it, but did not water it at all this year during the drought, though I had to water other things in the same bed. Plus, it gets so tall it shades its own roots, which is helpful.
I have some cuttings rooting up right now if you would like one. I will check for some roots on it right now.
Edited: the cuttings are still healthy but no roots yet but they look like they will. This cold weather has slowed down everything. D-mail me so I don't forget that you want one.
