Due to a couple of very warm days, (80 today), the yard is swarming with butterflies, some unknown to me.They are all moving rapidly from flower to flower, and, some are laying eggs on the Cassius.
I will start off with the one almost decent pix of a Sulphur.
Butterfly Monday.
The first one must be a Sulphur? Host plant Cassia (Senna). I'm zonal envied big time. No b.f. here for couple of weeks due to the colder weather. Thanks for sharing your pics. of the lovelies trois.
Thanks, Lily_love.
Yes, the first one is a Sulphur. For some reason, they tend to land against a dark background, causing extreme contrast. The ones up high were much easier. They are all laying eggs today, so maybe they know it won't freeze soon.

I've a winter, or Christmas Senna that's in full bloom now. It's a little late in the season, I feared that it's too cold to have these butterflies visit to pollinate the flowers. In couple of days the mild weather is expected to drop to the 20'ish. Arrrrg! That's going to take away the chance for the plant to bear seeds. :(
I'm looking forward to see more of your pics, if you've to share. I missed seeing those in the garden.
I will post more soon.
