problem when updating windows

I updated to windows explorer 7 my home page was always google.com but now when I bring up a internet windows to typein an address, the main home page always stays blank, nothing ever appears in the window, but it does have a web site in the main addresss, but never seems to go there.

what do I need to do to fix this, I've gone an d made my homepage google.com but it never does come up unless I click on the home icon on the top of the web page.

this is the web site that is in the address box when I open an explorer window, but it never does come up, it always just acts like it's trying to open the window, I could wait all day for the home page it would never come up unless I click on the home icon
