Ok, so I tried to make one thread last 2 weeks. The calendar is across the room. Please, folks, say something when I do that. I've tried Gingo Biloba to improve my mental functions but didn't see any difference.
My eating has been good today. I feel lighter. I haven't weighed in a couple days. But some of my clothes feel looser.
I took old(15+)Tasha kitty to the vet this morning. That lump on her toe suddenly started growing this past week and nearly doubled in size. He said he will amputate most of the toe. I hadn't planned on leaving her as I thought it was a returning abcess so I went to a local grocery store and bought a bag of her favorite food(Purina One Hairball formula) and a pound or so of very lean beefburger & took it all back to her. I'll pick her up on Monday morning. I told him that if she didn't make it because of the anesthetic I will still come to get her. On the way home I stopped to see Jack's sister who lives near the vet.
Still on dial up. A person called from the home office of the company and said she had fixed the problem and that the installer wouldn't have to come after all. But Kyle couldn't get it to go so I'm thankful he was able to get me back on dial up for the weekend. Time will tell if I can get this done. It is working fine for a neighbor and Kyle who got connected yesterday.
I just had a coffee mug of thick rich tomato and basil 'soup' from Campbell Selects. I really like those nice thick soups. So filling and satisfying. Before that I had some homemade bread left from Thanksgiving and was in the freezer with cheese on one piece and spinach sour cream dip on the other. The slices are small but they were thick.
The cortisone shot in my shoulder must have suddenly worn off because yesterday my r. shoulder started hurting pretty badly again. NO I DON"T want another one. It didn't hurt, but it may be what has been behind my heart acting up lately and the extreme insomnia of late. Not whining or complaining, just stating facts. I refuse to be whipped by this this but I realize there are limits to which my(or anyone else's) body can be pushed safely. Steroids can be wonderful but there are some high risks with them.
Sue, I'm glad your DH can do some of the tasks regarding the farm. Anything to take some of the load off you. When will he be able to come home again after this trip? Has he ever begun the job he originally went over there to do?
Susan, are you feeling any better today? Just keep telling yourself "I will keep off those last 5# no matter what it takes". Then when you can taste again you will have mentally conditioned yourself to do whatever it takes to do so. At least I hope that works for you. It is sort of like self hypnosis.
Not muc going on here. Anna, hang in there. Spring is coming. Sometime. GOD bless and keep each of you.
