has anyone here ever heard of or experienced a human getting an eye infection from a cat?
One of our former ferals had an eye infection when we took him in in early november. The vet gave him medicine for an upper respiratory infection, but not specific to eyes. But his eyes still have gunk on and off, and we have a vet appointment on wednesday.
not long after getting him (within the 1st 2 weeks) i got an eye infection - bacterial conjunctivitis. i went through 2 kinds of perscription eye drops - partly my fault, i wore my contacts too much - i hadn't worn glasses in public since grade school. Aside from just vanity, it is difficult for me to drive - i won't drive on the highway with glasses! (i also tended to trip over stuff a LOT, and get headaches - i have a STRONG perscription, and glasses distort a lot...)
a month later, i am still having problems. my eye doctor is just an optometrist - i have an appointment w/a opthamologist on Friday.
i have been researching online which leaves me more confused than ever...
of course everyone is on vacation between xmas and new years...
any thoughts here?
