Do you know of a plant with Richard Ross Rodgers in the name

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Have a friend that wants to plant a special perennial or shrub in memory of a family member. Name: Richard Ross Rodgers
Any suggestions? We are in Zone 3.

Strike it Rich rose is all I can find, but would be dicy to make it thru the winters. Probably will with extra winter protection.

What about a Rodgersia?

Thanks Carol,

Do you have one? Looks like an interesting big shade perennial. Did a google & looks like it is hardy to Zone 3. Also the Fingerleaf Rodgersia has a common name of Rodgers Flower. Hope it's not hard to find.

Yes I have a couple. It is a shade plant with really big leaves and a very slow grower - Mine flowered last year for the first time and I think it has been planted 4-5 years ago! I got it at local garden centers. Sunnyside had a lot last year.

I know it skips the proper name, but perhaps a Hosta 'Guardian Angel' might be appropriate if it's a shady area?
