I had to try out my new camera I just got so I took a pic of my rice paper plant that just started blooming.
Had to try out my new camera

So much to learn, it is an slr
Do love that plant. Glad you have camera so you can share.
How wonderful! The learning curve is more than I was willing to put into photography since I am basically a lazy point and shoot type personality but I do admire all the really wonderful pics that the better photographers and hobbyists here take. Have fun and post lots and lots of pictures for us to admire!
I guess I have an extra lot to learn, since I had to google slr!
I stick with the point and shoot technique too!
Nice plant and you took a lovely photo, keep trying out that new camera we love pictures!
Yokwe and Aloha Rylaff! Great picture of a beautiful plant! Keep em coming!
Christmas cameras! Nice shot....will those turn into seeds?
I have always been a point and shoot kind of person and have a nice Sony Cybershot 7.2 megapixels but decided to take the next step and got the Canon 40D. Huge learning curve.
I hope they dont produce seeds too. They come up all over the yard from underground runners. Well, not all over the yard but they do grow very well. I dont remember seeds last year when it bloomed. This is the mama plant and she is about six or seven feet tall.
Well if they turn into seeds, I'll take them off your hands!
I will keep an eye on it. I have about 10 growing in my yard. Definately dont need more plants.
Great God, Rylaff the only wise one around here! Stopping at 10!
Do keep the pics coming! We've been looking at the 40D too. One fabulous camera!
Very pleased thus far. Can shoot 6 frames per second. Had to try that out also.
They kind of sound like castor bean
