Why are they breeding mutts and calling them Designer Dogs and charging as much as a full breed for them?

They are mutts. There's NOTHING wrong with mutts but the pedigree is what makes full breeds cost more. Not that they're any better than mutts. Just more expensive.

I could go to any shelter and adopt a mutt for a lot less than they cost when they're being called a Designer Dog.
