are:
#3. To continue to participate on this Hoya forum - I am constantly learning (and in some cases relearning!) things on this forum.
#2. To be less anxious to buy every new hoya I see (very hard resolution) and to concentrate more on ones I think will do well here with me. (temp. tolerance, etc.)
#1. To quit buying hoyas I can't grow!!! Be on notice: bella, ruthie, obscura and some others - you'll not be in my collection again - unless you want to die!!!

My top 3 Hoya New Year's Resolutions....
I think your resolutions are right ON, Karen.
Mine would be
1. Pay attention to labeling and not think "OH, I remember that"...NOT
2. Keep improving my potting mix
3. Take nothing for granted
4. Plant more hoyas outdoors
And here are mine-
#3 Would be the same as Karen and to remember to listen to my gut on some things and what works for others may not always work for me.
#2 To stop fretting about the name of each hoya and just ENJOY unless you (and I am not) are going to participate in a RR. Naming can become like chasing your tail.
#1 Not to get "caught up" in having to have every hoya I see. Having everyone I see won't help me win the race.
Dee
Mine are:
1) to pare down my collection to 50 plants, so i can spend more time on the plants I do have and enjoy them more.
2) to pay more attention to watering, and not water unless necessary. (I'm an over-waterer)
3) to not take disagreements on forums personally! That's a tough one.
Okay, I can do this too. She who will buy a hoya simply because the name is so cool ....
#3 - Yes, participate more in this forum; I too have hoya opinions that others could benefit from.
#2 - I like the challenge of growing a "W" hoya in Canada; so will keep pushing that envelope but will try to learn which ones I should just give up on. 14 hoya cuttings have died on me in three years (3 were Ws) - I've tried half of them a second time (2 Ws), and they have all grown fine.
#1 - Stop taking cuttings from hoyas that aren't mature enough to bloom because [insert friend's name] doesn't have that one yet.
Christine
Here are mine:
1. Somehow get Mark's "throw-away" hoyas..hehe. Anything to help out a hoya friend in need of cutting their collection down ;)
2. Try to make MY collection a little smaller - I'll start by finding new homes for my hoya doubles. It has to be a SLOOOOW process in order to avoid severe withdrawals.
3. Keep away from Ebay and all the amazing vendors, and only get cuttings/plants from trades, secret hoya swaps, and round robins - oh, and of course David Liddle orders.
Gabi
Her are mine:
1) Some how get some of Mark's throw-aways from Gabi LOL--------
2) Concentrate on getting some of the larger blooming ones I'm always oohing and awing over
3) Be better about fertilizing not just Hoyas but all my myriad collection
Diane
Here are mine:
#3. Don't get so bent out of shape with the Hoyas that don't make it - they are not all going to do well in my conditions!
#2. Spend more time enjoying and concentrating on the Hoyas that are growing great and like my conditions.
#1. Step back, smell the Hoyas, and relax a little.
Doug
Here are mine:
1) To cut down the number of Hoyas that I have to about 150.
2) Remember to water them regularly.
3) Update my website with lots of new photos.

I don't think I've ever made New Year's Resolution's! hmm ... been thinking on this a bit and here's what I've come up with:
3. Downsize (get rid of some generic houseplants)
2. Learn a little more about Hoya's - one in particular right at the moment is H. polyneura, the fish tail hoya. I bought a beautiful basket about two weeks ago and it's going down hill fast! Leaves turning yellow and dying. I repotted it using the orchid bark in the soil as I do on a lot of plants but it is not a happy hoya! :(
1. Add more Hoya's to my family... preferably fragrant ones!
HAPPY NEW YEAR Everyone!
Everybody's resolutions are so great. Now, let's see if I can stick to mine, especially since I'm sitting here trying to figure out how to get Mark and Christina's "discards!"
Karen
