I thought this could be useful for the ones under us who are sad having lost valuable data.
I have very little computer knowledge so bear with me if I use wrong technical terms
It might have happened to many of us, that by mistake one has deleted a valuable document or photograph.
A file that has been deleted (and emptied from the trash bin) is still stored somewhere on the hard drive, it only cannot be recognized any longer by the operating system.
Recently I have downloaded a trial version of Tune Up Utilities.
One of its features is an undelete function that tracks down all deleted files. I also gives a report in what state the file is as sometimes the file has been overwritten. One would think now, that the oldest files would have more chance to be overwritten, but this is not the case. In a scan I did of all my deleted files there were very recent ones overwritten and very old ones still intact.
In this pic. you can see that even a deleted file dating from 6 May 2004 is still in good condition;
Recovering lost files..there is hope!
