I've been away from my computer for a couple of days. Christmas took up some time. But .....
on the next day, Sean Corey Williams came into the world at 10:32 am. He has all his fingers and toes. He weighs 6 pounds and 12 ounces and is 19 and 1/4 inches tall. To me, he looks like the cutest little garden gnome in the world!
I might have a good photo that I can post later. In the meantime, I have been very busy watching three of his cousins, AND his big sister while he and his mommy and daddy enjoy some bonding time in the hospital.
My DD experienced complications with the C-section and will probably be staying extra days in the hospital. My DSIL will be returning to his Marine base on Friday. And me? I'm a very proud, but very exhausted new grammy!
Did Ya Miss Me?
Congratulations Candyce.
Than you so much, Al.
Congratulations Candyce! Sounds like you are still flying high from experiencing this new miracle of life.
What a wonderful belated Christmas gift! Congratulations Candyce! Give Mom and baby my best! He weighed almost exactly what Oryanna did!! 6lbs. 14oz and 19" Maybe they can meet some day? LOL
Thanks, bebop2. I don't know if I'm flying high, or super exhausted! Sean's big sister just turned one year old, and one of his cousins is just 17 months old. So, I am running on adrenalin, I think!
*smile*
Pixie:
I'm sure they can meet one day. Let's plan on it. Who knows? Stranger things have happened. Besides, I'll use ANY excuse to get to meet you in person!
Candyce and Celeste - is this an arranged marriage in the process?
Congratulations to the both of you!
Congratulations grandma Candyce! He's beautiful. What a great present! Born on the same day as the Dave. What a great DG connection!
Oooooo What a cutie! Lucky Gramma! Make sure you get some rest, too.
Congratulations, Candyce--and of course to your DD and DSIL. I hope your DD is doing well and recovering nicely.
There's something very special about little ones born at this time of year. My DG-S, Charlie, was born just before Christmas.
Sean is adorable - and we share the first 4 letters of our names! except mine is pronounced SEE andor
Candyce, he's adorable!
He looks tiny to me, but in our family we're used to 8 and 9 pounders.
Congratulations.
Candyce - congratulations to the new gramma and of course mom, dad and sister!! Sean is so precious and sweet! Eleanor
Congrats Candyce!! Sean is too cute, but I hope you'll recover in time for 2008 :~) .........ps..sean is one of my all time fav names.
Congratulations and welcome back!
Thank you, everyone.
I hope I can have more time for posting soon. As you can all imagine, things are a bit hectic, and probably will remain so for the next few weeks. But, I will 'check in' on one thread or another each day. At least, that's my goal.
Oh, YAY, Candyce......I'm finally back online after what seems like a very long hiatus with our trip up to Conn. and NH. I am so excited that Sean has made his much-awaited debut and that your DD is doing ok now. I'm certain you must be so exhausted but so on top of the world. Congrats a million times! What nice news!!
I felt your presence Donnie!
Cool, Dave!! I'm never far away, no matter where I'm hanging my hat! LOL
I was hoping to feel your presents! ;^)
I'm tempted...
Victor, New Year's resolution?
Gosh!
Candyce - I keep checking for more baby pics!! Mine fell out of the crib yesterday - he was at home under his father's care, not at my house!! Colin has quite the bruise on his head. His mother is in Baltimore and won't be back until tomorrow - she's very upset. Auntie Jenn and I are going to look at toddler beds today. His crib at home can be made into a toddler bed, but mine can't. I was looking at one on-line at Toys'R'Us that is a fire engine bed and still uses the crib mattress. I already have a twin bed in the room and can't fit anything much bigger than the crib in there. The twin bed is too high off the floor for him to be in yet even with the removable rails. He could sleep in this for a couple more years and then be ready for the twin bed. Eleanor
Of course I was referring to being tempted to respond to Dave's post. No resolutions for me. Was never into that.
I thought you were biting your tongue as part of a resolution to give up double entendre. ;^)
That would take an overbite.
Heee Heee!
Eleanor - sorry to hear that Colin had a mishap! His father must have felt terrible! I'm always worried that my grandsons will get hurt on my watch....yikes!!
Candyce and Celeste - how are the babies doing? Have they had a blind date yet???? LOL
Oh, Eleanor! How upsetting for you all!! Is Colin OK today???
(No blind dates, yet, Louise. Too much snow for traveling.)
Ah Pixie, Is there no justice?
Beautiful!
Colin is fine but has a bruise and rug burn on his head!! Oryanna is such a sweet little baby - how beautiful. Hope everything turns out OK pixie!! Eleanor
What a cutie, Celeste! Murmurs are quite common. I have one. I call it Ethel.
I hear students stomping their feet in England.
Yet you didn't hear about the HP book??
I got your Ethel joke, Victor - good one!
There is no Harry Potter Book!
