Does this Red have a name?

Leesburg, FL(Zone 9b)

I've had this hibiscus for 6 yrs, and have always brought it in for the winter as I assumed it is "tropical".

I've googled Red Hibiscus, and I have yet to come up with an actual 'name' for it.

anyone have any ideas?

to me, the flowers seem a bit deformed; I'm assuming because of the temperature change... but i could be wrong.
when they are outside, the flowers are formed, rather than sorta 'scrunched'.

here are a couple of images

entire hibiscus --- i normally trim it when it comes in for the winter months -- but this year it still had a lot of buds on it... so i still have to trim the taller branches.

tcs, I think your mystery red double is Celia aka Cecilia ada Diamond Head aka goodness knows what else creative nurserymen have marketed it as . .
luck to you,

Thanks Barry -- I'll google those and see what comes up.

And your hunch is correct - it is a tropical and could not survive the winter months in your zone - it's really pretty too!

I've been pretty happy with it. the pot i have it in, is Styrofoam, so it is very portable.
I just keep it trimmed to help keep it manageable ... but I have found being in a pot, it does dry out rather quickly.

but the gorgeous blooms are very stunning... and well worth the work.
