Please read this if you have a puppy

My son-in-law bought my daughter a pug puppy for Christmas and asked me to keep her while they went to his grandparents for the holiday. I put her in the bathroom for the night. When I got up the next day, the puppy was dead. She had caught her collar on the valve behind the toilet and apparently twisted herself in the other direction trying to get free. As you can imagine, I am just sick over this. I would have never thought something like this could happen so I just wanted to warn anyone that keeps their puppy in the bathroom to take it's collar off. I had thought of putting the toilet seat down, but not this.
