Congrats. Must be something in the air this year - it was my first year for blooms too. Keep your eyes on the plant, it may send up new buds. Mine has surprised me with 4 new ones coming up now.

oriole, after reading all the comments on other gardeners experiences with BOP, I find that mine is the opposite this year. It started blooming early in the spring through the summer then, nothing in the fall. They are full of surprises.

I sure had fun with mine. It was pushing into my inside layer of plastic in my small greenhouse, didnt know what I was goingto do. Afraid the floor would be too cold. I thought it was just another leaf.

The day I decieded to move it, I saw that it was a going to be a bloom.Made all those heat$ worth while. Guess that means heat next yr.

Noticed the burgundy oxalis on the shelf. Does yours keep its foliage all winter, or does it die back and go dormant?
I thought they were supposed to "rest", but if I can keep watering mine and have it look as nice as yours, I will.

Mifflintown, PA(Zone 6a)

I keep mine going all yr. It has die back around the rim of the pot that I keep clipped.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9a)

I guess there is still hope for mine! It's similar in size. I have no clue how old it is. I sure hope it blooms soon!

That is beautiful!!!!! Congratulations! Say a prayer for mine!

I did seperate mine last spring. I have 2 pots of it. I dont fuss much with it.

Oriole ~ did it bloom after you divided it? One or both plants bloom?

Mifflintown, PA(Zone 6a)

Pods, both pots bloom.I looked back at my pic. Usually I have them together, but I cant see the 2nd pot. Its smaller but blooms.

Deep East Texas, TX(Zone 8a)

All right! I wonder if dividing them may have triggered the bloom response...

Mifflintown, PA(Zone 6a)

I dont think so, they were blooming when I divided them. I thought maybe someone would come around and want a pot , that was the purpose of dividing.
Maybe Mon. I will take a pic of the pr. and post for you to see.
