Christina, i know you have said that H. crassicaulis is syn. with H. incrassata...has anyone else heard this. i am trying to pinpoint the correct name.

Anyone notice that it is selling on Asiatica?

Carol, Merry Christmas!!

I have both Hoya crassicaulis, and incrassata, and to me they don't look alike at all. I am not going by flower though, and I realize this it supposedly the deciding factor.

The only place that I have read that they are syn. with each other is on Christina's site, but then, I haven't done near the extensive research that everyone else has - especially Christina, so I guess I am not the one to answer.

I did take pictures of both plants though, and thought that I would post them if anyone is interested.

This one is Hoya crassicaulis. Both plants are grown in the same light exposure, nearly right next to each other, so the differences are not condition related. The crassicaulis is much thicker, more succulent, and a far deeper, shinier green than the incrassata.

Here is my Hoya incrassata. You will note that the edges of the leaves are wavy, and the leaves themselves are much lighter (almost a lime) green color. They are not shiny, but almost matt, and considerably thinner than my crassicaulis.

Carol, I did notice that Asiatica is selling it, but was disappointed that there was no picture of foliage. Bummer.

Santa brought an air hockey table this year, so I am off to prove to the offspring that I am not a "wuss" as the gauntlet has been thrown down!! Heeee.

Hope everyone had a very merry Christmas!
