Growing wild at the waters edge of Lynx Lake near Prescott, Arizona. 5600 ft elevation. July 23rd, late Summer

Beautiful... but the spotted leaves make me think this is Polygonum persicaria, or Lady's Thumb, very similar looking to Smartweed (Polygonum pensylvanicum).

Lovely picture, I grow both here in my back yard. Both of them are awesome natives to have.
The smartweed has a whitish to greenish beaded bloom, lady's thumb has a plumber beaded pink bloom. Smartweed gets to a very tall height, mine grows to 5 ft in a happy spot, while my lady's thumb likes to ramble and maintain a shorter growth habit. I love them both.
