Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Buckeye, AZ(Zone 9a)

Hello All,

Just popping in to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas. I have been very busy since Thanksgiving and have been lurking and trying to catch up on all the posts. For the first time since 2000 I actually decorated inside and out for Christmas. I only put out about 100 of my Santa's but it was enough this year, I have over 200. I am thinking about attending the winter seed sow weather permiting. As soon as the holidays are over I will have more time to get on and converse!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Friends!

I have had no time to do all the things I like to do come this time of year, been working 6 /12s evenings, get home at 2am, and no time### but had a great day today ( store closed) with family poping in and out, to me its all about the little ones.
This is Lissy's frist Christmas LOL...,

She's absolutely adorable, Mary!!!

Carla, it's so nice to see you - 200 Santas? Good grief! How fun!

With DH ill, I did very little decorating compared to most years. I did put up the tree because he wanted one and a few other things, plus put icicle lights on my obelisk outside, but didn't do my usual decorating of my two greenhouse windows in the kitchen or put out a lot of other things. I just had to let some things go.

So sad to hear about your DH, wish I could help? My brother was helping a family member on Christmas Eve, on his deck and fell thru it, thank godness it was not one of the kids. LOL
He has a very bad skin mark and a very bad bruse, but he will live, just alittle sore.

My Grandauther hugging my Polar Bear, She thought she could ride on it , I told her good luck missy!!!! LOL

hello Murmur. Can I pray for any of his needs. I like you and want to help. Steve. Oh yes I can come out to your house and shovel snow but you probably don't have any. Merry Christmas. Steve

Hi, Steve - I am accepting any and all prayers on my Steve's behalf!!! Thank you for the offer - he's not a "believer" himself, but admits that prayer can't hurt. Don't you just love that? Somewhere I have an article on science/prayer - and the connection that even the most die-hard scientists can't deny. Gotta find that.

And, you're right - no snow here!

You can't deny the need for a God, and when it isn't something your can grasp God will reach down and grasp you. Just as a father would for his beloved child. I will pray for Steve to find our Lord and have our Lord have access to him.

Murmur, As I said before besides prayer, let me know if there is anything else I can do!

Tills, Love the pictures of the little ones, what a lovely family...all of mine are out of state. I can only talk on the phone with them for now. Thanks for sharing your family with all of us...bikes at Christmas what a grand tradition, we can probably all relate to wanting our first bike at Christmas. Maybe now with the holidays coming to an end you will have normal hours and have time to stop and smell the coffee.... or tea.

Soferdig, We have not met online yet... but I have read alot of your posts and loved all your pictures. Thanks for sharing all your travels...keep posting more. My favorite part of Washington is on the east side of the mountains...I am from Arizona and love the deserts....high or low!

Here is a picture of some of the porcelain Santas I painted a few years ago!

Happy Season,

Carla, your santas are beautiful. Did you paint all of the santas in the picture?

Mary, I always love your pictures. I hope you have time this month to get out and enjoy the kids a little bit.

Carole, I didn't decorate full out this year, either. The best I could do for a tree was this little "stocking" tree for the cat stockings. I caught Sahara sleeping on the bed in front of it. I have your Steve in my thoughts and will add my signature to the petition on his behalf. :-)

Happy New Year, everybody. May 2008 brings each of us peace, relaxation and a lot of time to garden!!

We always know when it is Dec 21st because with the sunset the reflection off the ski lodge hits our sunroom. This is the only day. I like to take a picture of such things. This year was nice good Alpenglo.
