What Is Your Menu Tomorrow?

Or would that be today? For many, it probably is.

If someone already started a thread like this, my apologies. I'm wired finishing everything and now can just sit down and relax a bit.

I'd be curious to know how many of us are Cancer's out there....not that I really follow that but just to know how many of us really do this every year. Is it true what they say about us?

I do almost the same thing every year...a buffet....save for last year. I did a sit down 5 course meal and really barely squeezed everyone in to enjoy it. We started off with a fruit appetizer (mangoes and blackberries), then a soup (Dann's garlic), then a small salad (iceberg with ginger vinaigrette), had the entree of rib roast and asparagus, yorkshire pudding, and many dessert options. It was too much....really...too difficult to get everyone here at the right time and actually accomplish the meal. I think I could have accomplished it with 12 or fewer guests. I was on the upside of 20 and have learned a valuable lesson.

More than 15 guests.....do a buffet.

So, the spread tomorrow, which I have worked on for the last week, will be themed out a little. Asian: pork loin, egg rolls, sate's.....Cooked turkey with mini rolls and all the trimmings......spinach balls, hot artichoke dip, stuffed jalapenos, salmon pate, brie with raspberry chipotle sauce, stuffed celery, a pickle platter, a cheese platter, a fruit platter, smoked trout and chevre, roasted tomatoes and shrimp toast. I always begin planning in October and have gotten some wonderful ideas here on DG.

I want to hear your spread.....get new ideas.
