Happy holidays from Hood River, Oregon

I am new to the discussion boards and look forward to participating.
I am a Master Gardener and member of the Hood River Garden Club.

I am partial to flowers (especially fragant ones) and have my entire .5 acre backyard planted by color. (There is a red section, blue section, etc. etc.)

Wow, planted by color! You'll have to take lots of pictures for us next summer.

What zone is Hood River in? Do you have lots of problems with the wind, or are you tucked back into the valleys?
