I have yellow iris, zebra grass, and I think a dwarf umbrella. Is it too late in the season to separate these? Either the fish have dug the roots up or they are outgrowing their pots. Also, I'd love some opinions on whether you ponders use the water gardener's dirt or the stuff that looks like kitty litter. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. :)
Separating Water Plants
Its best to do them in the spring, but you can do them now, as long as they will be established before the first hard frost, if you umbrella is dwarf papyrus nanus, it is not likely to survive after the first freeze, it needs to be brought inside.
Wow,,,didn't know that. Glad you told me that! Guess I better do some searching so I can be sure. Opinion of where to look?
Hi and welcome to Daves Garden, Sledder!! Check out this link for great info on watergardening. The "plant search" has growing info for many aquatic plants. Have fun!
