I couldn't dig up New Orleans Lady and put her in the GH cause the seed pods are so high up, it won't fit in the greenhouse. I have several seedlings and Rosamond in the flower bed outside. Everything is covered with frost, and someone stoled 50feet of frost cloth from my brugs last night. It didn't blow away... it is completely gone.
I can replace the brugs, they are probably okay.. it's my heart that is not okay.
edited to take the word hate out of my post.

I'm beyond sad...
That's horrible any time of the year, but especially now, during the holidays. :( Senseless acts are just that.
So sorry that you've lost your row cover... We live on top of a hill and the wind can really blow up here. Most of our old neighbors down the hill just return our row cover when it gets loose, but I've started writing our address on it for the new ones. Works well, as new neighbors know where it blew in from, and no one would want to use it with our address emblazoned on it! Hopefully yours will return too.
So SORRY ZZ! I know I would be very sad if someone was mean and vicious to my wee little brugs!
Our hearts are breaking too. We know the love you put into them. It's like someone beat up one of your kids for no reason except to be a bully.
exactly Robyn, that is how it feels... There were 6 or 7 pieces.. I wish it all would have blown away.
Thank you everyone..
Now let's move on.. to something funny.. This is what my brother sent me for my "anger Management" LOL

Too funny.
zz, a very nice person that you know very well sent me a Rosamond cutting and I would be very happy to share with you......
So sorry to hear about the bruggies.
Joyce
Last year I put two 5ft. wood candy canes at the end of my driveway. They were crisscrossed and decorated up with a huge bow. After being up for a couple of weeks one night someone came along and tried to steal it. I had it screwed into the corner fence post. I guess it ticked them off enough that they couldn't just walk off with it so they tied a rope around it at the top half and broke it apart. I could have repaired it but they took off with that top half. If they wanted it that bad I would have given it to them. It was a senseless act on their part. But, I will make or buy another set somewhere and put it back in that same spot. Everyone loved it and if they want it again I will leave them a screwdriver to take it down with.
What mean and unhappy Worlds they must live in ...as I said after you calm down you have to feel sorry for anyone living in such a dark and nasty place that they must steal or destroy.
Sorry that happened to you and anyone who has suffered at the hands of such miserable souls, it's Christmas so we have to pray for them even if one's first reaction is to kick them where the sun don't shine.
Exactly, I could have done a lot of things but it wouldn't have brought any peace of mind. Some how, we do survive and We will somehow get replacements and our heart will mend.
ZZ,
So sorry about your cloth, I look at things like that as, I guess they needed it more than I:(
I see all the girl coming right out of that boys face.
:)Anita
So sorry Joyce!
ZZ,
So sorry to hear about your frost cloth. That's really terrible. Gee are those people who stole it really gonna use it on their gardens? I hate to think of gardeners being crooks but I know it happens! People have dug up plants right out of my front yard before!
I hope it was at least a homeless person who needed a blanket...
If you need a cutting of NOL this spring, let me know :)
Gosh Joyce, I'm so sorry to hear this happened to your brugs and you. Hopefully the brugs will live and you can make a cross or two with them next year. It seems there is always someone around that can take the joy out of Christmas every year.
Joyce I am very sorry someone committed this mean act. :(
Yet true to yourself you found a way to smile!! Cheers to your brother.
(((((hugs)))
Kim
Thank you everyone.. I appreciate it. I no longer bitter... the part that really hurt is that it was so deliberate to hurt me.. the brugs are/ will be fine, and really, that's not what bothered me... It's just so cowardly and cruel. Someone must have something to say and is too scared of me to say it to my face.
The good news is.. it didn't work! LOL The pods did NOT freeze.. so neener neener to them! I am getting a motion sensor from a good friend.. just so I don't have to spend sleepless nights worrying what's next.
All this support is such a big help... You all understand... only brugsters really know how deep this could hurt! Thank you
Great news ZZ!!!...glad them lil babies are fine.
Brug love :*)
Kim
After all your generosity here, it's hard to believe that someone would have an ax to grind with you. Truly cowardly behavior! I'd be tempted to put up a camera...Let them hash it out with the proper authorities.
Glad your babies are fine:-)
Bev
ZZ...
If it was cold last night, it is quite possible that a homeless person may have snatched your frost cloth to keep warm. In which case, you unknowingly may have done a good deed.
I once stole a slice of meat from someone's sandwich in their unattended lunch bag. I was pregnant and had no lunch. Husband out of work too. I've since made good on it many times.
Merry Christmas ZZ!!!
A big hug to you ZZ, I am so glad the brugs are fine and you are too. Maybe the frost cloth blew off the plants that they covered up with it and attacked the mary-gee-wanna plants and kilt them duh!
I have one too Bev! Good idea!... but in a way I want this to die.. I don't want to even think it's gonna happen again..
I thought of that too Liz.. and it would have made me happy to have helped someone out.. but there were like 6 or 8 pieces.. it took a while to gather it all. Whoever did it had to lean way over the fence to take a short piece off a couple of 1 foot seedlings.. I would think if it was a homeless person, the person wouldn't have been so careful as to take every piece.. it was a huge bundle even when they are folded up! You can't even see that short piece from the other side of the fence.
I want so bad to believe it was a homeless person and that it is keeping them warm tonight when it gets down below freezing. :)
There is no way all those pieces could have blown away, there was no wind.. I wish it were true though..
Oh well, it's over.. it's Friday and I have all day tomorrow to dig the rest of them up.. :) My boss gave me a $50. Lowe's card with my Christmas goodie box and I'm gonna go get some potting soil... it will all be good by Sunday.. and I won't have to worry about folding up the frost cloth and putting it away! LOL
PS... I was thinking someone might be jealous of me having and loving my brugs so much...(I manage a Mobile Home park.. I'm on stage here, and not supposed to have a life) well, if those pods freeze.... I'm planting every single seed.. THEN I'll have a couple hundred seedlings.. That will be my ultimate pay back. LOL
ROTFLMBO!!!!
What a lovely sight that would be.
;*)
Joyce, I'm sorry to hear this.... I'm late to read your thread.
You know, we're all hoping you do it, right?? Wouldn't it be a sight thinking of all those brugs 'bugging' someone at every turn!? Love that idea. Not that I'm egging you on, or anything;->
Joyce, I just now read your post. I'm sorry to hear that this happened to you. It's such a crushing blow when someone deliberately goes after something one values. You feel so violated. You are right, though, about the ultimate revenge.
Me I am not forgiving. MH parks if they are like in Texas. ( I will stop ) When I was RE Broker I had mgmt people to run the stuff. Way too many upset people. They could not understand why I did not want to loan the a grand for rent. If it is fenced run a electric fence wire around the top of the perimeter. It will not hurt them but they will not bother it again. Real sorry for your loss. It does take a real sad person to mess with your flowers.
Security light motion detector, Mercury vapor light. Work well also. Problem with this happening is you will loose sleep if you do not protect or feel secure about your area. Secure it !!!!
Go for ZZ, plant them in their face.
LOL Joyce, I dare you to plant up ALL those seeds!! You will have to move out of your house to make room. I am so glad the pods did not freeze. I found the frost cover did a poor job but then it was last January and things might have gotten too cold for anything to help.
Joyce, if you want to get some more frost cloth, I'll get you some with my employee discount...just let me know.
Teresa
Thank you Teresa! That's really nice of you! I appreciate it.. They are still okay.. I think they will make it. I have back up cuttings in case.
Awww What a nice gesture. This place rocks!
