I have seed available now for White Mistflower (Eupatorium havanense). If you like some, just let me know.
White Mistflower
Linda, I would love some! I'm also looking for the blue mist flower. Happy to send whatever you need for the seeds!
Kristi
Kristi, you have d-mail!
Linda, I'd love some white mist flower. What a butterfly magnet the blue is and I bet the white would be just as attractive.
Me too, Linda. Pleeeeeze : ) I love those mist flowers for my Queens. Is there anything I can trade back to you that is on my list?
~Lucy
Will that grow in zone 5?....I am going to do a white butterfly garden in my side yard aside from my already larger butterfly garden. They look attractive.
Tim
I'm not sure, Tim, but it should. My Blue Mistflowers come back up from the roots, after winter. Does your ground freeze? If so, you might have to wintersow it every year to have any. My white mistflowers are still little seedling right now. I can't wait to enjoy the BF's on them, this year. : )
Maybe someone else will know more about your zone. : )
Eupatorium?.....isn;t that one of the " Joe-Pye-Weeds"
I don't know, I've only grew one Joe Pye weed last year, and it was quite a bit bigger than the mistflowers got. They might be related. I dunno.
Not much help tonight, huh? : )
Anyone to talk with about plants and Butterfly attractants are a help to me....:) so thanks for at least participating in my questions....I am the one that is new to all of this.
Tim
Tim, that's right, both West Texas Mistflower and Joe-Pye Weed are in the same plant family, (Asteraceae). I've gotcha covered with seeds of both. I'll pack an emerging start of E. greggii, also known as Conoclinium greggii) for you too.
Deborah
Again....thanks Deborah....I am going to do some web surfing for photos of them....
Peace
