This family is near Dallas who did this awesome Christmas light display. Their family website is:

Quite a display to inspire isn't it! DH is always wanting to add to our collection to. Thing is I'm not a packrat and when it comes to storing stuff I actually feel bad buying more and more bins to store "stuff" but then you see things like this and it really makes you feel great!!!!!! I think we will add to our display. We'd love to set it to music but that will be awhile yet.

Just a thought---there was a home that always decorated to the 9's and they'd add new features every year there to, they had a nativity scene and guess what!? Jesus was not part of it UNTIL Christmas DAY they would put him out (this is up north so they'd have to go out in the snow on Christmas Day to do so). I just thought that was a neat tradition.

I've always heard of other families who'd deck out and they'd have so many people come by to tour it became tradition for them to stand out and pass out candy canes to the kids who'd come by.

When I first came to Texas from up north, I was amazed at the light displays(not possible to decorate your lawn when it is covered with lots of snow)This one is really amazing!Nice to see that they are community minded people too.

Wow--that is something. Wonder what the electric bill looks like?!? Just when they thought the air conditioning bill would give them a break for a while....

LOL, so true!! But they do now make LED Christmas lights, low-energy but bit limited on the selection.

There is someone up the street here with stars on their roof every year--looks pretty good (esp. if you are Elvis--lol); I'll try to get a pic soon--its raining (thank goodness) right now. I also have to download the digital camera driver onto the new computer with VISTA--we shall see how that goes.....
