paw product?

I am a first-time viewer of the Pets Forum (although I've been a DG member for some time), so I apologize if this has been asked recently, or there is a FAQ for it. I wonder if there is a product to put on my dog's paws to prevent discomfort from salt and chemicals used for the snow. I don't want to get into having her wear boots, but I can see that this stuff bothers her, as she limps or holds her paw up for awhile until it feels better. She does some licking of her paws, so it couldn't be anything that would be harmful for her to ingest. I asked about such a product at Petco, and they didn't know of any. BTY, my dog is Rosie, a ten-year old Bearded Collie.
