Never Fail Fudge

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

I got this recipe from Durkee-Mower, Inc. They have it on their Marshmallow Fluff jars. The fudge is tastes great and as stated it's never failed on me. Moe

Never Fail Fudge
5 cups sugar
12 ounces evaporated milk
1/4 pound butter
12 ounces Marshmallow Fluff
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
24 ounces semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Nuts(optional)

1. Prep: butter two 9x9-inch pans.
2. Combine first five ingredients in a large sauce pan. Stir over low-heat until blended.
3. Bring to a boil over medium-heat, being careful not to mistake escaping air bubbles for boiling. Then boil slowly, stirring constantly for 5 minutes.(use soft ball test: 116C./240F.)
4. Remove from heat, stir in chocolate and vanilla(also nuts if used) until chocolate is melted. Pour into prepared pans and cool.
Yield: approx. 5 pounds.
