delonix regia var. flavida (yellow poinciana)

Saipan MP, Northern Mariana Islands

Greetings from Saipan. The var. flavida is native to the island of Madagasgar. I have been searching via the internet for the last 6 months trying to locate a source for the seed of this tree. I have 10 POUNDS of delonix regia (red/orange poinciana) that I would like to trade for a handfull of certifide pure "delonix regia var. flavida" seed. Cheers, Cap Carl - www.beautifycnmi.com

Aloha Cap Carl. Very interesting to read your newspaper, what a pretty place you live in. I see where you are going to use these trees to beautiful the island. Did you send Aloha Hoya a D-mail with your address so that she can send you some of her seed?

Hi Cap Carl,
I'd say Costa Rica is a good bet. They are loaded with every kind of red/orange poinciana.
This is where I get mine
Rainforest Seed Co. http://pages.interlog.com/~rainseed/
If they don't have them, I would bet they know right where to direct you.

Also try

And my personal favorite
http://seedman.com/rain.htm

Now..this guy isn't the polished shiny bells and buttons on the web site, but the seeds I get from him produce some great plants, and even slightly varied strains that I don't see anywhere.
