My rabbit....his eyes are turning pure white with a bluish tint! what does it mean!? I don't think he can see that well.
(sorry, i knwo its a blury pic)
Help! I'm so scared....:( He won't die will he?
it sounds like he is going blind and if im right he is perfectly healthy except the eyes i know it is scary but he should be ok
How old is he? He could have developed cataracts but the only way to know for sure is to go to a Vet. Cataracts can come on suddenly, usually cause total blindness but is not fatal. Again, only a Vet can tell you for sure.

k..um thanks. he's not even a year old
It definately looks like cataracts. Check for any signs of infection like red or runny eyes. If there are none and he is eating and acting normally, he will probably be ok as a pet. Just make sure that you let him know that you are approaching with your voice so he doesn't get startled. I took in a blind bunny from a family that was moving overseas. He was 3 when I got him and I found him a home with someone who had him for annother 4. He was an old bunny when he finially died and was totally gray in the face. He did very well in the house though when he was out of his pen.
Could there have been some dietairy deficiencies when he was growing? Only a vet can make a firm diagnosis,( I understand completely that money can be an issue with vet treatments) but if he is otherwise healthy, he will probably be ok. There is no treatment for cataracts in animals (that a normal person could afford anyway).
i had my dogs cataracts taken out he got his at 8
he doesn't seem blind anymore. his pupals can still change sizes and stuff so i'm not sure. Other than that, he pretty much seems fine, but i'm still worried. it doesn't look natural at all
Could he have been dehydrated? This can sometimes make the pupils milky. I'm glad he's ok!
Fireshy, why don't you call your vet?
Cantact Dave719. He is an expert on rabbits since he raised them. PalmBob is a small animal vet. I'm sure he can advise you. He has always been kind enough to answer my questions.
I see you are from Canada. Has your bunny been somewhere that the sun would be reflecting off the snow and he would be looking at it for some time? I had a bunny go 'snow blind' from that once. He lived for years afterward and the condition never totally blinded him. I think it is kind of like welding flash blindness.
