Hi Diehrd, I don't have time to read that thread because it contains over 200 replies, but I read the first post by Nery.

I do know, however, that posting and answering questions in general can take a great deal of time and effort and often goes without any thanks. For the last few years, I've been happy to spend hours at the computer, on Dave's and other web sites, helping people by answering their plant-related questions. I've even written two articles for Dave's and spent hours compiling information for the FAQ's Sticky Thread so that people will have somewhere to go to look for answers to questions they might have.

I know a lot of people here at Dave's are retired and have a lot of free time on their hands, but there are others that work full time and have busy lives and can't always take the time to give instruction or advice. Now that I'm working full time, I am posting less and have less time to read and respond to posts, and I may even let my subscription to Dave's expire when that time comes. I am content that my FAQ's Sticky compilation and my past posts can help someone who is willing to look for the information.

I think it is just the nature of forums that some posts will go unanswered, and it is best not to take it personally when it happens and to just realize that not everyone has the time to post. It takes time to do some research, but the answers are out there for those who are willing to take the time.

That's sweet of you to bring it to everyone's attention though. I see that you've been posting it on several forums. The thread is so long now, and the topic that was started has gone off course a few times. I was going to post on it as Nery is a friend of mine, but I think that what I said above was already said by others, and the thread should probably get dropped now rather than have it go on and on.

Awe, that's sweet, Kathleen. You'll be just fine if you rely on the past threads and FAQ's Sticky Thread. If you get into a jam, you can always dmail me. I'll still be here for a while yet, but I have less and less time for reading and posting these days due to my new work schedule.

you're leaving??? how did i miss/forget that?

No worries, Mate! I'll be around for a while yet;-) I just started working full time again and don't have the time that I used to to read and post and will probably let my subscription expire this year without renewing.
