After this recent experience with Smokey, I am now really paranoid about my fur babies. He was lucky with the timing. I fear that if anybody gets sick in the next few months they will not be as lucky, well, you know.
How does one reconcile this in their minds..."sorry faithful friend, Mom can't pay the vet, it's been nice, but goodbye"??
Has anybody here had to make this awful decision? It doesn't seem fair, I have no children, they are my children...society wouldn't make the lady down the road with 7 kids put her son/daughter down because she couldn't pay the doctor. Why do we have to?
