Whaat is it?????

Baytown, TX(Zone 9a)

This vine with a very large leaf is growing up next to one of my banana trees. It's vine is getting thicker and thicker and higher and higher. The leaf is kind of pretty, so I haven't been concerned about cutting it down. So far I have not seen sight of "Jack" or his cows or golden eggs, so I think it's still containable! haha

Any ideas what it is? Is it invasive? All info would be appreciated!!!!

OK Great....if it is, it can stay. As long as it is not invasive....but then how could it be more invasive than the banana trees????

Well when you no longer can see the banana trees it will be that invasive!
Second thought is there Kudzu in Texas yet??? LOL
Nite

I have a plant variously known as 'Jungle Glory' or 'Hawaiian Bells' (Stictocardia Beraviensis) that could be it. I am assuming the yellow edges are not typical? Here is a picture of my plant. It grows like a weed but can easily be kept trimmed (just don't leave for a week LOL). The flowers (just now starting to emerge here in SW Florida and will bloom until spring) are beautiful.

DL That's pretty! I wouldn't mind if it were those! Very nice! How long did it take it to bloom? The vine has been here at least a year.

I think about a year is what it took to bloom.

Maybe it will bloom someday! Thanks!
