no i dont know what kind of hoya it is, i will try to find out. it is sitting in indirect sunlight and the plant looks healthy, it just isnt flowering.

OK...can you take a picture of it? Can you look on a website and find a similar plant (try www.myhoyas.com). Your question is a bit like asking, "how long is a string"...need more information!!! Thanks :>)

i think it is a carnosa

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

It is one of the carnosa cultivars...common name is Krimson Princess. They are very reluctant to bloom... They really like cool temps, less light than most plants and to grow dryish....fast draining medium. It might help it along....

Good luck.

thanks!

Hoyas like to be rootbound ... I find that mine wind their way up into more sun and then flower. Good luck with it.

I basically ignor mine. It's hardly ever watered. It grows full, mid-day and afternoon sun. I give it a little 10-10-10 about 3 time over the summer and it blooms like crazy. IT seems to thrive on neglect.

Yes...that cultivar and all its' siblings and relatives really like to be on the dryish side...are really tough plants...I ignore mine too and they are champs...lots of blooms!!!!

You know...that's what I've found too..the more I ignore them..the better and more often they bloom!
