This plant was burried in the weeds in my yard. I had hoya growing there that I received in a trade about five years ago. I thought I had brought them all in from the cold snap a few years ago. I guess I missed this one. We were clearing out some weeds under the alamanda bushes in the back yard and found it. The leaves are very thick and stiff, about 1/4 inch wide and 2 to 21/2 inches long. Don't know if it ever flowered. It looks like there might be a peduncle on one of the stems, but it is so tiny, I'm not sure. I'll try to take a picture of it tomorrow.
Is this a Hoya or a Dischidia
Really hard to tell. Right now I would say a Dischidia...but photo of the flower or peduncle/rachis will tell.....
I have to agree- looks Dischidia-ish to me. Something about the look of the leaves
In fact...from the leaves I would say it was Dischidiopsis parasitica (aka D. f-440)...tiny clusters of red flowers from the nodes...
Carol, you may be right about name. I went and took some pics of the tiny peduncle. At least I think it is a peduncle. I guess I will have to wait until it blooms to be sure.
I did some searching on google once I had your guess and found a post with a picture of a plant that resembles mine on epiforums also said that the plant could be d. calva. I guess time will tell for sure.
