Your seedlings are lovely, Kyle, and I enjoy seeing them. Today I'm posting a few minis that are new and unusual. Normally I don't breed for minis, but always I get some, like it or not. These I like.

Barry

Greetings all, I'm working from home today (bad weather). Haven't been in the garden (Dave's) hardly at all because work and home life is so busy right now. I love them all, Kyle and Barry. I need to get serious about finalizing my spring shopping list.. Kyle, my babies, I mean rooted cuttings are almost ready for a potting up! I'm so enjoying them. I need to get back to my job, I miss conversing with everyone, enjoy and stay safe and warm, or cool, wherever you grow.-Bonnie

They are all pretty - Kyle I especially like the sunny wind cross & Barry Orange Moca is lovely. Eco pops too - I think it adds value to your fax machine! :)

We have two "keeper" first blooms today. The first is "Copperhead" bred from EYes of Texas x Sarah Elizabeth, about 7" and is kind of a kinky seedling plant with asymmetrical branching but buds all up and down the 3' plant at first bloom. The clones will reveal the true growth habit, so THAT will be interesting. Could be too brown for a commercial variety, but may please some hobbyists.

Barry

The other first bloom keeper today is "Forever Amber", a great 6" double on a nice Christmas tree style plant, but alas, the first bloom was facing the ground, heavy as it was. Very thick petals, heavy texture, wonderful color, but if they all face the ground very few people will care how pretty the flower is. Of course the seedling is in a 1-gallon pot, has been for 8 months, very rootbound . . so you never know exactly what you have until you grow clones under better conditions. All you can do is keep the ones that SEEM to have excellent flowers and lots of other good traits . . and eventually you give away lots of those because of too many faults. So we grafted three each of the new ones today, and stuck ten cuttings from each in Oasis to get a rooting percentages.

Barry

Great pictures, you guys. I like all of them, but my favorite of yours, Kyle, would be the Golden Moments X Black Dragon cross.

Barry, Echo is awesome. I would love to get my hands on that one next spring.

Hi all,
Just like Aunt B, real life has dragged me away recently. Bwahhhh! Anyway, all the seedlings are beautiful. Barry, will any of your mini's be for sale? Kyle, you really need to share with us, lol!

Beautiful blooms, I find that lots of the doubles seem to droop down. Guess because they are so heavy. I'm partial to singles. The big in your face kind! wish I had more room. I live in a mobile Home Comm. with a very small lot. Lorine

Kyle, they're all pretty, but I definitely have to go with #1.

Barry, wow, gorgeous minis, with Orange Mocha being my fav. I really like Echo as well :-)

Orange Mocha caught my eye too.

Kyle, didn't you have some babies with red stems and sort of interesting shaped leaves? Have they bloomed and how did they come out?

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Arde, they developed normal leaves as they got older and most were reggae wind hybrids so most had small blooms.
Nothing to write home about. LOL

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

Bummer.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Ahh....not that bad a deal...the others make up for them. :-)

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

True, you have some amazing young plants there. Can't wait to see what the future will bring.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

how bout a black flower with a yellow eye?????? WOW! that would get things excited huh?? LOL

If you come up with that one you could probably retire tomorrow and just play in the GH all day long.
