Broz: We’re trying to upgrade our system plus get rid of the rusty water.
Q: Have residents complained of rusty water?
Broz: Yes. It’s been a problem for three to four years. It keeps getting increasingly worse. Our water system is a good 40 to 50 years old and the cast iron pipes are decaying to where the citizens are getting rusty water through pipes.
Q: Why are you using plastic material?
Broz: It’s supposed to last a long time and not corrode or deteriorate. It has a 50- to 60-year life.
Q: And no rusting?
Broz: It won’t rust.
