Thanks for the birthday wishes and beautiful pictures too!! Robert that Holy Guacamole is stunning - another one for "the list" ;-)

This birthday has been a difficult one. Some of you may have noticed I was offline for several weeks. Well, in that time, I got sick again, split with my husband and moved into a new house. How in the world did I get so much stuff??? LOL - just moving all my hibiscus is enough to make anyone run and hide ;-)

Also, as I've had two viruses in two months since my (futile) attempt to return to work, the Dr.'s have put me "back in the bubble". So, I'm back at home, in a new place, hanging out with my DD, plants and Sadie, the vicious guardian of all things hibiscus ;-) I guess this will give me plenty of time to unpack...AND, more importantly, plenty of time to baby my precious plants. The new yard is not nearly as nice as the old yard, but once I set my pots around, I think it will have potential.

Thanks again to all you wonderful friends,

karen

OMG Karen,
Sounds like you have been thru heck and back. I would say stronger words, but we are online.
Is there anything I can do to help? Separating is trauma enough. Moving is more trauma than anyone wants. And getting sick again, would be enough to -well- make me sick!
Just know that if there is anything, anything at all, that I can do, let me know.

Gosh Karen, I'm so sorry to hear about all the problems you are dealing with. Wish I could be there to help you, but that is pretty long distance. LOL! I'm sure you will get the place/yard whipped into shape in no time. Just take care of yourself.

Oh my gosh, Karen!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so far behind, I just saw this news!!!!!!!!!!!! First, a big, giant, cyber bear hug ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Karen)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
I've been through a longterm marriage break up too, and I got the sickest I've ever been in my life when I was going through it. I was afraid I would never get well again, and it did take me well over a year to get well. So try not to worry too, too much about your illness lasting forever. Once you get through all this stress and pain and worrying, your health may improve a lot. In the meantime, hang in there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have 2 weeks vacation coming up starting on Dec. 22, and I could come up to Riverside and spend a day helping you get your hibs going in your new yard if you need help with them - or with anything else!

Geez, Karen!!!!!!! My heart goes out to you!!!!!!! There will be life again though. I didn't think there would be for me - in fact I was sure there wouldn't! But a new, completely different, and happier life was waiting for me right around the corner even while I was going through the very worst of my marriage and health falling apart. Life definitely shakes us up BADLY sometimes, but all that shaking does seem to make us grow and learn more about ourselves and others in the end somehow.

I'll be thinking of you! Just let me know if there's ANYTHING I can do!

Karen,
So sorry to hear about all the bad stuff that's been going on with you. And though it's bad now remember it'll get better - things like this will make you stronger in the long run. As far as your new yard goes - well once those beautiful hibiscus are there - it'll transform your yard to your peaceful haven. Here's looking to a brighter future & many more (happier) birthdays for you!!

And, start posting!
I miss seeing pics of your hibs, and by now, some of them should be growing back.
Besides, with Cindy's help, we should see new photos in no time :)
Give your big ferocious hib guard dog a kiss from my big ferocious guard dog :)
