I'm new here, (sort of) I've loved DG for years! Thanks to Angela (my angel) I am a new subscriber! Thanks!
I love to garden although I have only been into it seriously for 3 years! Before that, I only knew a few bulbs and roses! LOL
Now I have new passions! Echinacea, Toad Lilies, Sedum, ... etc.
I guess ya'll be seeing way too much of me around here! LOL After all it is winter.

Hi soapwort243 I got some variegated Firespray tulips thuis year and cannot wait to see them bloom! As for toad lilies I have mine in mostly shade and they are doing great! Love 'em! I need a lot of blooming things for shade gardens. (smile)

The bulbs I just planted are---50 double mixed daffodils, 15 blue crocus,-3 double tiger lily,-6 trumpet lilies,---tulips-8 peony tulip-abigail,-50 tulip cum laude,- and 10 each of thr following---Red Parade-Mariette,-Rococo,-and Kingsblood. So I will see what happens. I do have a piece of shade by the garage that might be right for the toad lilies. Do they like all shade? Do they bloom for very long?
The variegated Firespray tulips are beautiful. I planted some in my front, when I tried to make a little red, white, and blue garden--but I got the red-- the "white" bloomed a light yellow and the "blue"--was not blue at all, but purple- It's still pretty, though.

Oh I have been thinking about the Double Daffodils! (Drool!)
My toad lilies are in part shade (the ones that do best) and get about 3 to 4 hrs of dappled sun. I started with five and have about ten now after two years. LOL It was kinda hard to tell this year because the deer ate a lot of my flowers! Including muching on the toad lilies! LOL Gotta stop those critters somehow!
