Now with a photo I can get a positive ID on 1 of our hawks. Which one is this fellow?

Looks Accipiter-ish to me. My guess is Sharp-shinned Hawk. Resin's already asleep ["up the wooden hills to Bedfordshire"]....it's 12:15 AM in England).
Tomorrow you'll know for sure.

I would agree with Old Ned. Smallish head and squared-off tail=Sharpie.
