I have several seeds that I planted and they have there second set of true leaves.. They are in 2oz I believe solo cups.. Also they are about 2-3 inches tall. Can someone help me by telling me when I should put these into bigger pots and if so around what size? Thank you for any info. and help.
Susan
When to pot up?
Sorry that you haven't received any replies to your query. I am quite new to passifloras, but would think that having a second set of leaves would allow you to pot up a bit. I have rooted one in water and potted it up with no problems. Passis don't seem to be picky about pot size so far as I know.
Perhaps another opinion, or more knowlege will surface:-)

Bev,
Thank you so much... That is what I was thinking but thought I would ask... What types do you have? Let me know as I have seeds to some...
Thank you for taking the time... :-)

Hi, Susan!
So far, I only have Lady Margaret. She was sent to me from a wonderful DGer in GA and is not supposed to be hardy here. But, ever the eternal optimist, I have mulched her deeply but also took a cutting to see if she would root in water. I had almost given up hope when the cutting surprised me:-)
It looks like later cuttings may not be as successful as the one I took from soft growth in the summer, but experimentation is a great teacher, right?!
Bev
Bev,
Yes it is... I did the soft cuttings also with no luck but took cuttings on one with harder stems and they grew in soil for me.. I have had no luck with water rooting... I have one growing that a friend on DG sent to me from seed that is from Africa, and cant wait to see if it does well.. This year I am putting mine in pots to sit out then I will bring in for winter... I am going to pot up the ones I have started from seed and see how they are going to do... I have them under lamps and a heat mat.. fun to try.. LOL . I will try to take some pictures later to show you how well they did... Well I think they did well...LOL
Hugs,
Susan
I am looking forward to seeing your new babies! Faith is the backbone of gardening:-) Hope they do really well for you!
